Patterns.com UDRP in text on a graphci with purple, pink and blue patterns

The general counsel of domain name registrar Epik has helped the previous owner of patterns.com win the domain back through a UDRP.

According to the dispute, Cosmic Patterns Software, Inc. used the domain for its astrological software services for over twenty years. It claims the domain was stolen in November 2020 “via a deception perpetrated on the Complainant’s registrar.”

However, historical Whois records show that the domain was at Network Solutions, not Epik, before the alleged theft. It’s unclear what connection Epik has to the domain or its owner. I reached out to Epik for comment and will update this story if I hear back.

National Arbitration Forum panelist Dawn Osborne found in favor of Cosmic Patterns Software and ordered the domain transferred.
