Apparently, the Sackler Family (associated with Purdue Pharma) set up a website on John Oliver jokes around about the family not buying the matching .com domain name. Because they didn’t buy it, he bought for a reported $2,500, and he launched a parody website on it.

In the video on the homepage of, actor Richard Kind shared his thoughts on the Sackler’s .info domain name usage. “What kind of fucking idiot would set up an important website and not buy the .com,” he humorously asks.
