delta-ups-solutionsDelta, a global provider of power and thermal management solutions, has announced the availability of its Ultron DPM series uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems for the U.S. market, for large data centers and mid- to large-scale “mission critical” applications.

Delta’s Ultron DPM series covers the power ratings of 500/750/1,000/1,250kVA/kW and is built for performance and reliability. It also has a “streamlined” UPS footprint to minimize gray space requirement and maximize revenue-producing white space.

Built-in proactive algorithms anticipate services and alert the user to maintenance that might be required/needed for the different sub-systems (i.e. batteries, fans, capacitors). These proactive algorithms would allow to coordinate services proactively and minimize emergency corrective services.

“Delta’s ICT Infrastructure solutions are relied upon by top companies worldwide to keep their data centers functional and efficient, even during the most challenging circumstances,” said M.S. Huang, president of Delta Americas. “While the vast majority of competitors need to partner with battery companies, our UPS solutions utilize Delta’s proprietary lithium-ion battery technology. As the sole designer of a complete system, we remove any compatibility concerns there may be between UPS and battery.”

The Delta Ultron DPM Series would boast an Online Mode efficiency of “96 percent, a Robust Efficient Mode efficiency of 98.5 percent and a Clean Mode efficiency of 99 percent.” The units are designed with top, down and side cable entry and for front-access service, a color touch panel with an intuitive user interface. The Delta Ultron DPM Series is capable of parallel expansion of up to four units, allowing for hyper-scale capacity up to 5MW or for N+X parallel redundancy.

UPS Energy Efficiency

Delta’s Ultron DPM Series ‘cloud/colo’ solution would provide in-depth performance transparency. Its preventative maintenance features include self-diagnosis and aging detection via data collection and analyses of a battery system, IGBT modules, DC capacitors, AC capacitors, and fans. An ‘Advanced Event’ log can store up to 5,000 entries, all of which are accessible via the LCD panel or SNMP board. Waveform records support advance event analysis and diagnosis.

Founded in 1971, Delta is a global provider of power and thermal management solutions. As an energy-saving solutions provider with core competencies in power electronics and innovative research and development, Delta’s business domains include Power Electronics, Automation, and Infrastructure. Delta has 169 sales offices, 70 R&D centers, and 38 manufacturing facilities worldwide.

FIFA World Cup Russia

Delta’s UPS Systems support mission-critical applications in 5 football stadiums of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

“Delta’s UPS systems and our partners’ professional services enable higher energy efficiency and steady operations in data centers and other mission-critical applications in government entities, financial institutions, shopping malls, pharmaceutical companies, and universities,” said Mr. Marat Fayrushin, Delta’s general director for Russia & the CIS.

Within the five aforementioned football stadiums, over 1.2 MW power capacity of Delta’s UPS systems support football field and emergency lighting, more than 1.5 MW sustain key infrastructure such as common area lighting and fire protection systems, and approximately 300 kW support surveillance and data transmission equipment.
