Companies are increasingly developing plans to recover from major disasters within minutes, and without any data loss whatsoever, according to the 2018 Disaster Recovery Survey Report – an annual study published by CloudEndure, a provider of live cloud migration and DR solutions. But how do you build an effective disaster recovery strategy that fully protects the business from lost revenue while guaranteeing business continuity?
CloudEndure’s survey was conducted among 375 cloud, IT and DevOps professionals about their DR plans and IT environments. Technologies and DR strategies being used by them include: periodic snapshots (24%), Continuous Data Protection – CDP (23%), remote backup (19%), local backup (18%), and hourly snapshots (16%).
But an effective disaster recovery strategy aiming at true business continuity requires more than selecting a technology. In the following VIDEO published on WebsiteHostingReview by Online Tech – a U.S. hosting provider delivering services such as hybrid cloud, colocation and DR services, two disaster recovery experts are discussing what it takes to plan, design and build a highly resilient disaster recovery solution for your company, end-to-end.
