Leading this innovative initiative is Doug Recker, the newly appointed President of Duos Edge AI. With over three decades of experience in telecommunications and data centers, Mr. Recker is poised to drive the subsidiary’s mission of enhancing connectivity and computational capabilities in remote and rural areas. He recently announced the identification of the first three locations for the EDCs, highlighting the company’s swift progress.
“I am excited that we are off to a fast start with the identification of the first three sites,” Mr. Recker stated. “We are identifying the resources necessary to complete multiple units by the end of this year, and my expectation is that we will begin recording recurring revenues starting in Q4.”
The planned EDCs are designed to bring high-speed connectivity and compute power to areas that have historically been underserved, such as remote districts, schools, and health facilities. This venture leverages Duos’ expertise in AI processing to drive innovation and efficiency across various sectors. Mr. Recker emphasized the transformative potential of these centers, particularly in revolutionizing the technological landscape for remote communities.
Chuck Ferry, CEO of Duos, expressed his confidence in the new subsidiary’s rapid development. “Doug is updating me on his plans for Duos Edge AI and appears poised to close some meaningful business in the near future,” he said. Mr. Ferry added that the first EDC is expected to be fully operational and generating revenue by late October, with subsequent units following in November.
