The domain name ODC.com was sold yesterday, the 17th of March 2022 for $57,611 USD
The domain name was auctioned off on NameJet and was part of the new ventures services corp portfolio.
It appears the domain name was previously owned by Bill Bender who may have let it expire or sold it privately between April and June 2016, the domain name then entered privacy protection for a number of years before appearing in the new ventures services domain name portfolio in late 2019.
Back in 2008, the owner at the time had a placeholder on the website offering the domain for rental for $700 USD per month and stated that it received over 300 types per day in direct traffic to ODC.com, they also listed a number of acronyms that ODC could stand for such as Offshore Development Centre, Ohio Data Center, Outdoor Cover, Overseas Development Corporation, on Demand Computing and many more.
Three Letter Dot Com domain names have always been a solid investment and still bring in regular sales, it shall be interesting to see who has acquired ODC.com, most likely a domain name investor but it could have been acquired by a domain name broker on behalf of a corporate end client, time will tell when funds clear and the whois information hopefully updates.
Back in 2001 the domain name looked like this and was using the ODC.com acronym as Online Development Corporation.
