  • Telstra and Equinix Collaborate to Provide Secure Multicloud Connectivity in 38 Global Markets:  Telstra is enhancing its integration with Platform Equinix to provide its enterprise customers flexible, secure, on-demand multicloud network connectivity to more than 170 service providers in 38 markets globally. Telstra’s Programmable Network (TPN) is leveraging Equinix Cloud Exchange Fabric to enable customers to create private multicloud network connections to cloud providers in just minutes, instead of weeks or months that more traditional cloud connectivity approaches often require.  By building deeper integration with ECX Fabric, Telstra is also enabling its customers to privately access the full range of cloud service providers available via ECX Fabric including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, UCaaS, DDoS mitigation, data storage as-a-service providers and more. A single integration with ECX Fabric enables Telstra to offer its customers faster connectivity to a broad range of cloud services than integrating directly with individual cloud providers.
  • Digital Realty Advances Sustainability Leadership, Earning Industry’s Highest Number of ENERGY STAR and Green Building Certifications in 2019:  Digital Realty  has earned the distinguished U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR certification for exemplary energy performance in 29 of its data centers in 2019, representing 70 percent of the company’s U.S. stabilized and managed portfolio based on sellable IT capacity. This marks the second consecutive year Digital Realty has earned the most EPA ENERGY STAR certifications among all U.S. data center providers.  ENERGY STAR certifications indicate that Digital Realty’s data center facilities are performing in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide, demonstrating the company’s leadership in championing environmental stewardship and its commitment to meeting and exceeding the EPA’s strict energy performance benchmarks. As part of its industry-leading sustainability initiatives, Digital Realty became the first data center provider to join as an ENERGY STAR Partner in 2019.
  • QTS Further Expands Commitment to Carrier Neutrality With the World’s #1 Ranked Global Internet Backbone: Telia Carrier has deployed a point of presence in QTS’ Chicago and Miami data centers. Today’s announcement follows Telia Carrier’s recent upgrade of its network presence in QTS’ Atlanta Metro mega data center and establishing a presence in the QTS Richmond NAP featuring access to the new high speed, low latency MAREA and BRUSA subsea cables that terminate there. Telia Carrier is the top ranked global IP backbone, with customers in more than 120 countries, operations in 35 of these and network presence in 120 cities worldwide. Telia Carrier offers a broad portfolio of connectivity services, including IP Transit, Cloud Connect, IoT backbone services, Ethernet, and SD-WAN, and recently announced the first real-time transmission of 600G/s wavelengths in a live production network.
  • vXchnge Adds Tier4 Advisors to Roster of Premier Channel Partners:  Tier4 Advisors, a vendor agnostic  IT sourcing, architecture, and strategy firm based in Alpharetta, Georgia, has joined the vXchnge program. vXchnge’s latest channel partner, Tier4 will offer vXchnge colocation and other DCaaS solutions throughout the company’s service footprint. The partnership allows Tier4 to expand its service portfolio of integrated solutions to customers down to the platform level. Tier4 customers using vXchnge services will now have improved visibility into the status of their critical infrastructure thanks to insite, vXchnge’s industry-leading business intelligence platform. insite provides partners comprehensive and customizable views into their technology deployments and infrastructure across vXchnge’s data center network as well as actionable alerts – all to maximize performance and brand protection.
  • CoreSite Delivers Ongoing Operational Excellence: CoreSite has announced its 2019 operational results for data center reliability, compliance and power utilization effectiveness. For 2019, CoreSite achieved “Eight 9’s” level of reliance, or 99.999999% uptime, across its portfolio of data centers. CoreSite also successfully completed annual compliance examinations for the colocation services offered across all of the operating multi-tenant data centers in its portfolio. Overall, CoreSite incrementally improved its PUE by approximately 4.8% in 2019 on a same-store basis as compared to 2018 PUE. Finally, CoreSite successfully completed annual compliance examinations for the colocation services offered across all of the operating multi-tenant data centers in its portfolio. As part of its compliance examinations CoreSite completed a new independent third party assessment of controls related to the National Institute of Standards and Technology Publication Series 800-53 (NIST 800-53)
