Reputation doesn’t always fit reality, so I took them for a spin.
A2 Hosting offers a WHM reseller control panel. This control panel is the industry standard for reseller hosting. All providers in these reviews have it, sometimes with Softaculous pre-installed.

A2 Hosting offers two solutions that both cover CRM and billing: WHMCS and Blesta.
This puts this host among the best reseller hosting providers because most of them come with WHMCS.
WHMCS makes handling customer support effortless. You can easily create your own knowledge base, assign and resolve tickets via email, set up notifications for clients, and much more.
WHMCS takes care of billing as well. It helps you send out invoices, make subscription-based payments, send out reminders for overdue payments, handle taxes, offer refunds, and do a few dozen other things.
All in all, WHMCS offers a bunch of features that make your life easier.
Blesta is another web hosting management platform that has a few more billing options.
When push comes to shove, though, WHMCS is more user-friendly, which tips the scales in its direction.
I’m nitpicking here—the platforms actually tie for the best reseller CRM. One reason to pick WHMCS is it’s used by most reseller providers. That way, you won’t have to get used to a new panel if you change providers.
That’s not all. A2 Hosting offers other useful features like SSD storage, Cloudflare CDN, free SSL certificates, backups, email integrations, free ad credits, and a few awesome e-commerce and security solutions.
A2 Hosting is one of those providers that gives you complete freedom. You can allocate server resources whichever way you want.
You are limited to a certain number of client accounts, though. The number of accounts ranges from 40 to 100, based on the reseller plan.
Granted, the restriction may annoy some users, but if you get too many clients, it might be time to upgrade to a more powerful solution anyway.

With a name like GreenGeeks, how could you not love them? As the name suggests, GreenGeeks puts special effort into being environmentally friendly.
Having a green reseller hosting provider is all fine, but you might appreciate their awesome features more.
Let’s see what they offer.
GreenGeeks’ features are nothing short of impressive.
The reseller control panel is WHM with Softaculous, and billing and CRM are handled through WHMCS. Again, features that most providers use.
Now, for the other features. GreenGeeks offers free SSL certificates, SSD storage, RAID-10 redundancy, nightly backups, free CDN, top of the shelf security, and a bunch of developer-friendly features.
Naturally, GreenGeeks offsets the energy usage of the server threefold with renewable energy credits. It’s always nice to care about the environment.
All in all, GreenGeeks does well feature-wise.
GreenGeeks plans work a bit differently. You can’t allocate anything as GreenGeeks offers unlimited reseller hosting. That means unlimited resources for each client.
Oh, boy, unlimited resources! That’s great, right?
In practice, there’s no such thing as unlimited resources. Each provider with such an offer also has an acceptable use policy. They can restrict you if you use too much resources.
GreenGeeks doesn’t explicitly say how much is too much. Instead, the terms of service say, “GreenGeeks will be the sole and final arbitrator as to what constitutes as a violation of this policy.”
In other words, you upgrade when GreenGeeks says you upgrade.
For the record, it’s unlikely GreenGeeks will force anyone to upgrade unfairly. Still, unclear service parameters are far from ideal.
GreenGeeks reseller hosting is 100% white label. You get full branding and private name server capabilities for free. It’s all simple to set up.
Due to the nature of the client plans, the price only depends on the number of clients you have.
The pricing starts at $34.95 for 10 accounts and goes up to $104.95/month for 50 plans. If you have over 50 clients, you can get additional accounts for $2/month per account.
If you don’t have many clients, this is somewhat expensive. The basic plan costs you almost twice as much per client as the most expensive one.
Accordingly, the price is reasonable with the most expensive plan. Considering you get impressive features, $2/month per client is solid.
GreenGeeks has fantastic features, is great for learning, and, if I might add, has support that are real Linux reseller hosting experts.
Despite all that, the prices are steep if you have few clients.
If you have plenty of clients or if your clients don’t mind paying a bit more, GreenGeeks is a top-tier choice.
Otherwise, you should check out the next entry on the list.

This provider works hard to provide quality. A lot of resources go into delivering exceptional performance, robust security, and stellar customer support.
But is SiteGround the best reseller hosting provider as well? Let’s find out.
SiteGround offers cPanel with Softaculous. It does go the extra mile and includes a bunch of additional cPanel features like Apache handlers, IP filtering, and password protected directories.
However, SiteGround doesn’t offer any out of the box features to handle CRM and billing. You can either pay for WHMCS or use a Softaculous integration.
Other than that, you get all the awesome features of the basic shared hosting plan. That means SSL certificates, daily backups, Cloudflare CDN, SSD storage, top-notch security, and blazing speed.
SiteGround’s name creates high expectationsfor advanced features. Despite the lack of WHMCS, the company does not disappoint.
The plans you can resell are quirky, to say the least.
You can’t really offer a variety of plans. You can only resell basic shared hosting plans—10GB of space and enough bandwidth to handle about 10,000 monthly visits.
Saying that this is restrictive would be an understatement.
SiteGround support propose getting around this by purchasing one of the shared hosting plans and splitting it up across several domains. These can be white labeled and resold.
Such approach, however, causes server issues like having to handle billing externally, being unable to allocate server resources efficiently, and having to purchase several shared hosting plans if you have too many clients.
It’s way easier to just get a regular reseller hosting plan from another provider.
The bottom line: beginners will surely enjoy the standard reseller hosting plan. Experienced users will find it restrictive.
SiteGround reseller hosting can be fully white labeled. Client cPanels are easily customizable.
One caveat is that you must pay extra for the private DNS. It costs $89.
It’s a shame it is extra since it’s practically essential.
Speaking of prices, SiteGround doesn’t sell you resources. Instead, you purchase credits, and each credit corresponds to a year of the basic hosting plan.
If you get 10 credits or fewer, with a minimum of five, the price is $40 per credit. Over 10 credits cost $37 per unit.
The credits don’t expire, so you’re guaranteed not to overpay.
The question is whether the credits are expensive.
It really depends on your clients. If your clients’ demands fit perfectly with the fixed plans, then yes, SiteGround is the top reseller hosting company for you.
One instance where this works out is with WordPress websites, as this plan is practically tailored for them.
If you have a bunch of tiny websites, however, you’d get more value by splitting up a typical reseller plan.
The prices aren’t unfair, but it would depend on your client base if you can use the credits well. If the plans aren’t working out for you, you have a one-month refund period.
Make no mistake, SiteGround has quality reseller hosting. You get more than enough features, with top-nothc servers and security.
Whether SiteGround is the right fit depends on your clients’ sites and your experience as reseller.

I know what you’re wondering – why are ResellerClub and BlueHost reseller hosting grouped together?
Both companies are owned by EIG, and they’ve partnered up to create the ultimate reseller hosting platform. The pooling of resources has certainly produced some commendable results.
If you try to look up BlueHost’s reseller plans, you get redirected to ResellerClub’s website. In fact, ResellerClub’s team handles the majority of things, and you purchase server resources from them.
For the sake of simplicity, I’ll refer to this as ResellerClub reseller hosting, but you should be aware that it is a joint effort of BlueHost and ResellerClub.
Here’s what they offer.
With this topic, it’s a given I’m talking about best Linux reseller hosting. After all, 96% of the world’s servers run on Linux, and these are no exception.
In this case, ResellerClub offers both Linux and Windows-based hosting. Each has its pros and cons.
The Linux plan has the WHM control panel with Softaculous, while the Windows plan finally offers some variety. With it, you get the Plesk panel.
Spoiler alert: It’s still mostly the same thing in terms of features.
As for CRM and billing, both plans get WHMCS.
Both plans offer some useful features like Cloudflare CDN, an integrated email solution, free SSL certificates, good security, backups, and easy scaling.
ResellerClub’s features put them among the top reseller hosting providers.
With both plans, you can allocate resources the way you want.
ResellerClub gives you a different proportion of resources. You get more bandwidth and less storage than usual. This can be a benefit or a drawback, depending on the websites you host.
ResellerClub also offers 100% white labeling. You can easily set up a private name server.
Both control panels can be fully white-labeled. For those not familiar with Plesk, ResellerClub offers a guide to customizing its appearance.
Linux-based plans cost $18/month, $20/month, $27.99/month, and $42.49/month and they have discounts available.
Windows-based plans come at $17.99/month, $21.99/month, $27.99/month, and $46.99/month. There are no discounts.
You also get a 30-day no questions asked refund.
Pricing plans come with different amounts of allocated resources. On top of that, Windows plans offer fewer resources for a similar price since Windows hosting is always more expensive.
Nevertheless, you’re getting a good deal with ResellerClub.
Does ResellerClub have the best offer?
Truthfully, several providers have better features. Still, if you take price into account, it does offer one of the best deals. If you don’t need any particularly crazy features, ResellerClub is the way to go.
Also, this is the best option if you need Windows reseller hosting. Since A2 Hosting discontinued its Windows plan, this is the best Windows reseller hosting provider around.
Unfortunately, ResellerClub support is not available via live chat, and there have been complaints that other support avenues are too slow. This could be EIG’s lousy reputation following them around because I had no issues.
Still, it’s something to test out for yourself during the 30-day trial period.
All in all, ResellerClub is a decent provider with more than fair prices.
5. InMotion Hosting

InMotion Hosting is another independent hosting company, which has its benefits.
Providers owned by GoDaddy or EIG often underperform in the post-acquisition period because the hosting behemoths “optimize” everything for profit, not performance.
That’s why small companies sometimes offer surprisingly better service than the profit-chasing giants.
InMotion Hosting has been showing impressive results so far.
It also has a reseller plan, so let’s see if that’s impressive as well.
InMotion Hosting has overall good features, but hardly anything outstanding.
I bet you can guess which reseller control panel they offer. That’s right, you get the WHM control panel.
And if you’ve guessed the control panel, you can also guess how they handle billing and CRM. Of course, InMotion Hosting offers WHMCS. All in all, standard features.
They also have SSD storage for all plans (which is always great), automated backups, and decent security features.
As I’ve said, InMotion has the basics well-covered, but it doesn’t stand out.
InMotion Hosting offers something called shared reseller hosting. You can allocate resources any way you see fit, like with most reseller hosting plans. It’s only called shared reseller hosting to differ from the VPS reseller hosting plan of the company.
One advantage of InMotion Hosting is the seamless transfer to VPS. It feels natural to grow from a regular reseller plan to a VPS. Besides the increased resources, you get a bunch of additional features that help you handle your demanding client base.
In terms of ease of use, InMotion hosting is the best VPS reseller hosting provider.
You can easily white label your reseller business with InMotion hosting. You get easy tutorials that explain how to customize the cPanel for your clients and how to set up a private name server.
It’s all easy to handle, and even complete newbies won’t have any trouble.
There are three shared plans. They are priced at $29.99/month, $39.99/month, and $57.99/month. Of course, there are lucrative discounts for the initial period.
The prices seem high for the features you get, but you get a decent amount of server resources.
Even the cheapest plan gets you 80Gb of storage and 800Gb of bandwidth. The other two plans offer 120Gb and 160Gb of storage and 1200Gb and 1600 Gb of bandwidth.
You also get a 90-day money-back guarantee, which is way more than most providers give.
All things considered, the InMotion reseller program is admirable. It still has room to grow, but the company is making the right moves so far.
If you don’t require any specific and unusual features and you enjoy the charm of an independent hosting company, InMotion Hosting won’t disappoint.

HostGator has been around for almost 17 years, and it’s made good use of that time. It is one of the biggest names in the website hosting industry and serves millions of clients.
In 2012, the Endurance International Group acquired HostGator. EIG has a bad rep in the hosting world, but it’s undeniable that HostGator displays decent results even after the acquisition.
Moreover, HostGator seems to be investing a lot of resources into its web reseller program. The host offers all the features needed to create a successful reseller business.
Let’s see what they are.
HostGator is another provider that has opted for the WHM reseller panel paired with cPanel. Pretty standard and pretty good.
HostGator covers both CRM and billing with WHMCS. Again, this is the usual solution among reseller hosting providers.
You also get out of the box email and anti-spam integrations, unlimited free SSL certificates, weekly off-site backups, and more.
Unfortunately, HostGator doesn’t offer SSD storage for reseller plans. You can only get SSD storage if you upgrade to a dedicated server.
Average features, all in all.
HostGator goes for full flexibility. Instead of having predetermined plans, you get a flat amount of server resources. You can allocate them any way you like.
Flexibility is always great, though this is largely a matter of preference. Experienced users usually prefer flexible plans, while newer ones prefer to not manage resources.
HostGator makes white labeling a simple matter.
You can easily set up a private name server. That way, you appear as your own hosting company and not somebody reselling resources.
You can also easily customize the client cPanel, as with other providers.
It’s all set up so you can easily promote your own brand and not anybody else’s.
HostGator reseller plans start at $29.95/month for the aluminum plan. The copper plan is $41.95, and the silver plan is $59.95/month.
There are substantial discounts if you pay annually, biennially, or triennially. The recurring payments are charged at standard rates.
With these plans, you get 60/90/140Gb of storage and 600/900/1400Gb of bandwidth.
Albeit nothing special, the features you get are rather decent for the asked price.
If it doesn’t work out, no worries. You get a 45-day money-back guarantee.
If I were to make a reseller hosting comparison of all providers, HostGator would be firmly in the middle.
It is delightfully average. You get the features you expect for the price you’d expect to pay—no surprises and no catches.
If you want a reliable host that also has great servers, HostGator fits the bill.

These reviews wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t at least mention one of the new providers.
With 6 years of experience in reseller hosting, Brixly isn’t exactly new. It’s newish.
I have to admit, when I saw a best reseller hosting Reddit threads mention Brixley, I didn’t think much of it. Even so, it has racked up impressive user reviews in the meantime. Since Brixly specializes in reseller hosting, I thought I might as well check it out.
Here’s what I found.
I keep my expectations low with smaller providers, but Brixly surprised me.
Brixly used to use its own control panel. Given the learning curve, this was rather inconvenient, regardless of how good it was. It has since moved to WHM, which is the industry standard. It’s crucial for a new hosting provider to show improvement – and this one does.
You get SSL certificates, SSD storage, robust security features, mailing, nice developer features, daily backups, etc.
A con is that WHMCS is free only with the two most expensive plans. With the three cheaper plans, you have to pay extra for it.
Bottom line: Brixly doesn’t offer the strongest features in the business, but it still does much better than some of the biggest hosting providers.
Plans are restricted by storage capacity alone as bandwidth is unmetered. Also, there is a limit on the number of cPanel accounts, based on your plan.
Of course, unmetered bandwidth doesn’t mean unlimited resources. You can’t get 10,000 visitors in one minute and expect the server to handle it.
At least that’s what a number of Brixly clients expected, given that they’ve left negative user reviews because of warnings for overusing server resources.
Providers are a bit at fault. Many providers hide their acceptable use policy somewhere in the terms and conditions. Most users never read ToS and are taken by surprise when their CPU or RAM usage hits 100%.
Brixly doesn’t do this. Its LVE limits are explicitly stated in the features of each package. This allows you to plan, and you won’t be surprised when you have to upgrade.
Of course, Brixly offers full white labeling for free and guides on how to enable it.
One nice thing you can do is outsource your customer support to Brixly. Its support acts as if they were your own. It’s a nice feature to have until you can set up in-house support.
Brixly offers five plans. They cost $24.94/month, $31.19/month, $37.44/month, $49.95/month, and $62.45/month. There are discounts if you pay yearly.
You can also get a 1-month trial period for $1.25. This way, you can test out all features at nearly no cost.
You get a hefty amount of server resources with the packages. Yes, the limit on cPanel accounts is irritating, but you can create 50 accounts with a total of 150GB of storage with the cheapest plan. That’s fine for $25/month.
Other plans give you 200/250/350/500Gb of storage across 75/100/150/250 cPanel accounts.
All in all, Brixly offers a lucrative deal. If you want cheap reseller hosting, this is the one.
Just be aware that newer hosting providers offer good deals to attract new customers. These plans may change as Brixly’s client base grows.
As things stand, though, the deals are pretty darn impressive.
Would I recommend Brixly? Yes. Its offer exceeds all expectations, and it treats its clients better than many large hosting companies.
Yes, there are a few kinks to sort out, but this is to be expected with any providers.
One disclaimer—it pays off to be careful with younger hosting providers. They come and go, and they are malleable. As things stand, Brixly has a great offer, but this review could become completely outdated within a year.
I suggest giving Brixly a go if you’re based in the UK or North America, but give it a good test run before making any firm commitments. Still, my gut feeling is that the company might become one of the best reseller hosting providers in the UK and North America: we’ll have to wait and see.

I’ve reviewed some of the biggest names in hosting and domain registry world. But these web hosting reseller reviews aren’t all about EIG and GoDaddy. It’s time to give another little guy its share of the spotlight.
Don’t get me wrong; InterServer is neither a newcomer nor that small.
In fact, it has two impressive datacenters in the US. It’s just that compared to some of the international hosting providers, it’s still the little guy.
Here’s how its reseller plans fare against the big boys.
The first thing you’ll notice about InterServer is its solid offer.
You get the features you’d expect like the WHM/cPanel, SSL encryption, and WHMCS.
You also get all the features you get with the standard shared hosting account. These are SSD Caching, Raid-10 storage, Cloudflare CDN, weekly backups, email solutions, and a bunch of other security and speed optimization features.
The InterServer package is good, even surprisingly so for a smaller hosting company.
InterServer gives you full freedom when allocating resources.
The ratio of bandwidth to storage is a bit lower than usual. If your users get a lot of traffic, you might need to scale up your reseller plan a bit earlier than with other providers.
InterServer offers full white labeling capabilities. Unfortunately, a private DNS and a unique IP address are paid features, and they cost $5/month and $3/month, respectively.
This price is forced on you since it’s tough to run a web hosting reseller business without white labeling.
Five reseller plans cost $19.95/month, $29.95/month, $39.95/month, $49.95/month, and $69.95/month and come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
For this, you get 80/100/160/200/240Gb of storage capacity and 500/700/1000/1300/2000Gb of bandwidth.
Considering the features and resources you get, the offer is fine, but it’s not as good as with shared hosting. It would be much more lucrative if InterServer dispense with the extra charge for the private DNS.
One nice feature is that you get a price lock guarantee. This means the monthly charge for reseller hosting won’t go up even if you use it for the next fifty years. This makes your expenses more predictable, and your business – easier to manage.
All in all, InterServer offers a good platform to resell website hosting services. Its offer is robust, and the pricing on the reseller plans is reasonable.
It’s too bad there’s an extra fee for the private DNS and unique IP. The extra charges drive up the price by almost 50% with the cheapest plan.
If InterServer offered those for free and touched up the website a bit, its reseller plan would start going like crazy, and with good reason.

NameCheap is best known as a domain name registrar. In the world of hosting, it hardly has a reputation at all.
Really, there’s hardly a mention of NameCheap reseller hosting anywhere.
Nevertheless, it exists, and I checked it out. Here’s what I found.
NameCheap features are alright but far from impressive.
It has a WHM control panel like other providers. As for the WHMCS starter license, it’s only available with the most expensive plan. Otherwise, you can use BoxBilling. It’s a decent solution, though not as comprehensive as WHMCS.
There are also drawbacks like no free SSL certificates and only HDD storage for reseller plans.
The features are basic compared to those of other providers.
The plans work a bit differently.
You purchase a certain amount of storage, and you allocate it to clients. Then each client account gets unmetered bandwidth. You also have a maximum of 25 accounts with the cheapest plan.
As with GreenGeeks, I know there’s no such thing as unlimited resources, so I did a bit of digging through ToS.
NameCheap specifies what constitutes spending too much server resources. The table is extensive, so I won’t go into details, but you can check it out here.
NameCheap offers name server registration and full branding capabilities. Plus, there are tutorials on how to do all this. You won’t have any white labeling troubles.
As the name suggests, NameCheap offers a cheap web hosting reseller opportunity. The Nebula plan costs $16.88/month, Galaxy Expert costs $26.88/month, and Universe Pro costs $36.88/month. There are, of course, discounts.
This is if you want to host data at their U.S. Server. Hosting it on the U.K. server costs $1/month extra.
You get 30/90/150Gb of storage, which is reasonable. Unfortunately, the feature set corresponds with the cheap price, if that’s the tradeoff you’re willing to make.
It’s a real shame that I can’t give NameCheap a more positive review. Their pricing is awesome and the transparency is the cherry on top. They are obviously not one of the hosting providers that try to turn a profit by skimping on important features.
If you have clients in the U.S. with less demanding websites, NameCheap is an affordable option you can investigate. Yet, in just about any other case, it falls short.

The control panel is the standard cPanel/WHM with Softaculous.
WHMCS, however, is not free with the most affordable plan. HostPapa is another provider that forces you to get a more expensive plan or handle billing and CRM through Softaculous integrations.
An alternative to WHMCS is Clientxec, a billing platform for small to medium-sized hosting providers. Unfortunately, this is also not included in the Bronze plan.

HostPapa also uses “enhanced SSD drives” for storage. If you’re not familiar with the term, you might assume this is SSD storage.
Enhanced SSD drives are actually HDD drives enhanced with SSD caching. It’s a step up from regular HDD storage, but still not as good as pure SSD.
HostPapa makes no mention of this. In fact, it’s called “SSD storage” in most cases. Not a great sign, and this isn’t the only case of lack of transparency.
Other than that, the features are good. They offer Cloudflare CDN, backups, Raid-10 redundancy, and solid security features (some of the latter are cost extra).

GoDaddy is big enough to offer some incredible features. Let’s see if they live up to the expectations.
Like many others, GoDaddy offers cPanel/WHM with a free WHMCS license. Again, this is a quality software, and it’s a standard solution for reseller hosting.
Unfortunately, GoDaddy skimps on some essential features.
For instance, many hosting providers give you unlimited SSL certificates for any domains you sell. GoDaddy offers you a SAN SSL certificate instead. This gives you SSL for 100 domains, but it costs $159.99/year.
Also, you can only get HDD storage. There’s nothing wrong with it, but many providers offer SSD.
Otherwise, you get good security features, decent performance, and a one-year Microsoft Office 365 license—that last one is unusual, but they do list it as an important feature.
There’s one misconception most other GoDaddy reseller reviews are under. It’s that GoDaddy lets you resell fixed plans and take a commission. This is true, but it’s not reseller hosting.
It’s a so-called reseller plan that lets you resell any GoDaddy products and services. It’s more commission-based.
GoDaddy reseller hosting is a different plan. It gives you complete freedom over allocating resources. This can be a blessing or a curse, depending on your preference.

You get 90/120/150/240Gb of storage and unmetered bandwidth. You are instead restricted to 2/3/4/4 CPU cores and 4/6/8/16Gb of RAM.
Honestly, the price on this one isn’t outrageous. GoDaddy has strong servers, so an offer like this is expected.
Still, since some essential features are paid, the price ends up being relatively high.
Also, there’s no money-back guarantee. Once again, GoDaddy goes for profit.
I realize those last two sections were harsh. Am I saying that GoDaddy is a bad provider? No. Well… Kinda.
GoDaddy is big enough to offer servers with great speed and uptime and to provide decent features. This gives it an edge over many other providers.
However, GoDaddy also tends to show more interest in money than clients. Why offer free SSL certificates if you don’t have to, right?
