In this video interview with websitehostingreview.org, e-shelter CEO Rupprecht Rittweger explains that the total investment amount in this large-scale Amsterdam data center campus is even way higher than the 100 million euros as disclosed until now.
These huge investments in data center infrastructure reflect the type of data center customers e-shelter is aiming at in the Amsterdam area and elsewhere through its European network of currently 21 data centers and a global network of 140 data centers in total through its parent company NTT Communications. These are mainly the larger clients with the highest enterprise-grade requirements. In the case of e-shelter AMS1, 84 percent of the first phase has been reserved by a hyperscaler, but Mr. Rittweger assures that there is still plenty of space left, also supported by the ongoing investments in further development of this Amsterdam data center campus.
